Well, I made it. I had an early morning flight and didn’t get a great sleep, but I’m all checked into the hotel. I went for a long walk downtown and managed to find Eaton Center. I got my hair cut, bought some new jeans and shoes, and eventually located Massey Hall, so I’m all set for tonight. I had a ton of problems at the airport this morning, mostly due to some grumpy security worker. They made me go back and get another boarding pass, all while making me feel pretty stupid. Plus, they chucked a bunch of my toiletries (even though Vancouver security thought they were ok). In addition, they didn’t give me my laptop back when I went upstairs (something I didn’t realize until after I had left security), and there was a period of about ten minutes where it couldn’t be located and I was stressing out.
Thankfully it’s all sorted out, and I’m in Toronto for a few days now. Concert is tonight around 8pm, and I think Dale will be meeting up with me sometime around 5pm. Until then, I have no idea what I’m going to do. At 7pm I’ll be meeting at the Library Pub, where Raymi, Phil, Pitt, Chad and eventually Tony will end up. Should be a great time.
