It’s that time again - the weekend. Last night I attended a preview party for Strutta’s new product they’ve been working on for the last year. I’ll write more about this when I have the coveted “Jordan Screenshot” that everyone was talking about. In essence Strutta has developed a pretty funky social network that appeals to the competitive nature of most people. I.e., “Think you’re better than me? Go ahead and prove it. ”
It’s a neat concept, and it will be cool to see where it goes once they launch (which should be in the next couple of months).
Tonight was also supposed to be Lyal Avery’s crazy bus-a-thon, but rumor has it he’s down and out due to some nasty flu bug (something I can obviously relate with given what happened to me last year). So, here’s to hoping Lyal’s ok, and that we can all take him out some other time.
Tomorrow my friend’s daughter Maya turns one year old, so I’m going to try and swing by to wish her a happy birthday. Other than that, the weekend is fairly open, which is a nice change. I have some web stuff I want to wrap up during some part of it, but I’m going to do my best to get outside for some of it.
In terms of the near future, I’m still working on that startup event in Vancouver and will hopefully be able to spill the beans on it soon. Next weekend Matthew Good starts his US tour — I think John Bollwitt and I are going to hop in my car and head down for the Seattle show (Rebecca and Keira have other saucy plans).
Take care of my boy!
Oh don’t worry, the first lap dance is on me!
“Saucy” doesn’t even begin to describe the debauchery that will occur.
You should just keep heading past Seattle and make a beeline for Austin…can’t take that long to drive there ;)
Have fun next weekend at the show!!
Screenshot coming soon Duane, promise!
