I was talking to Dale tonight about a few things, one of which was how I’ve been itching to do a dark background theme for my site again. I’ve fielded many complaints from people over the years whenever I’ve gone that route, but I always seem to come back to them for some reason.
So, while crawling into bed tonight, I decided to take a quick stab at changing my last theme around a bit. The end result is this. I really like the reduced size of the header since it lets you read more in one passing. I also am pretty happy with the reduced sidebar, since there’s less clutter. I might take that a step further somehow.
Feel free to drop a comment if you like. I still have another iteration or two on it before I’m happy, but it’s basically usable right now.

Yes, dark is back! I remember when you brought out your Crossroads plugin you had a dark theme and couldn’t understand why you decided to change it to a white one! Furthermore, HDI pictures look stunning on a dark background… by the way, its been a while since you’ve posted some HDI stuff on your blog :-)
