Jessie Farrell is a local country music sensation that is up for seven country music awards on Monday at the Canadian Country Music Awards in Winnipeg. I’ve seen Jessie play a few times, most recently when I covered New Music West in Vancouver a few months ago.
Had I not been so busy I probably would have flown out to Winnipeg and photographed the event, but unfortunately my schedule just doesn’t allow it right now. That being said, voting is still open for the fan’s choice awards, so head on over and show some support for some Vancouver music (ignore the part about the contest being closed, it’s not related to casting your vote). If you haven’t heard any of her music before, you can hear some over on iTunes.
Dale and I are also putting the finishing touches on Jessie Farrell’s new website (the link is to the current version), which should launch around the same time as the CCMA. So check back over there in a few days to see the new look and feel.
