I’m leaving Thursday morning for Hamilton, Ontario. I’ve actually never been there, although I once presented a research paper at a conference in Niagara Falls, and I think they are close? Maybe? I can’t remember.
I’ve been planning to head out that way and hang out with Dale and Sara for quite some time, and considering I had a flight credit at WestJet burning a whole hole in my pocket, decided now was as good a time as any. I booked Thursday and Friday off of work, so I’ll have a rather long extended long weekend out there.
I leave 8am on Thursday morning, and get in around supper time. I’ll be flying back out of Toronto on Tuesday morning, so I have to make my way up there at some point. Should be a good trip, and it’ll be nice to leave Vancouver behind for a few days.
Wow. You should try and watch Saturday’s game vs. Montreal at Air Canada Centre. It would be costly for scalpers tickets, but worth it.
I was born in Hamilton but I can’t say I’ve ever been there myself. Have fun with your buddies!
I’ve flown into Hamilton often. It’s so cute and small! A lot of my family live in Guelph, and when I visit them I often fly into Hamilton instead of Toronto. Anyway, enjoy your long weekend :)
I went to McMaster for my undergrad and I have to say that Hamilton tends to unfairly disparaged a lot (glad to see Sebrina likes it!). The west side of Hamilton, where McMaster is, is actually quite pretty, especially with the fall colours! Have fun!
Duane, if you happen to make it up to Ottawa this weekend (very unlikely I know) then let us know and I’ll round up whoever is around and we’ll go for a beer or two.
