Chilliwack Wedding Photography

I’ve photographed probably over 100,000 photos in my lifetime, and have been fortunate enough to not only be the lead photographer at a few weddings, but also have been backstage at many high profile events, including the Canadian Juno Awards and the BC Festival 150 with Sarah Mclachlan and Leslie Feist.

As I’ve recently relocated back to Chilliwack, I’m available for wedding photography in the area. Unlike many photographers, I am willing to provide the originals on DVD when the event in done, which is something many of my clients appreciate. I shoot most events in a photo journalistic style, which basically means I try to capture the day as it unfolds, making use of as few posed shots as possible. If your goal is to have a few hours of posed photographs with grandma, grandpa and uncle Bob from Calgary, I’m probably not the best person for the event. But if you’d love to have your wedding captured in a unique way, and be able to view your wedding as it actually unfolded, then I’d love to help you out.

Unlike many wedding photographers, I do my best to get to know the bride and groom long before the event unfolds. I strongly believe that if you don’t have a sense for the type of people you are photographing, it’s very difficult to pull off a memorable shot. That’s why I usually like to meet everyone in person before the event and talk about the services I provide, as well as providing input into the ceremony based on previous weddings I’ve attended.

I make use of a great deal of modern technology, and I usually have proofs available online within a day of the event. The final editing process is fairly time consuming, since I hand touch each photo to ensure it meets a certain level of quality, but I take pride in making sure my clients will be just as happy reliving the experience through my photos years later as they were during the event.
