A Road Trip

Last modified on April 12th, 2007

For some reason, as this weekend approaches, I find myself yearning to get in the car and simply disappear for a few days.. I’m actually in a really good mood, just with the sun shining and the air warming, I feel like going on a little road trip.

The only problem is that I don’t really want to blow a lot of money. I have no problem camping if I have to, but I’m looking for somewhere to go that’s not more than a three or four hour drive. Anyone have any suggestions?

How about some wine tasting tours around Kelowna/Penticton?

Kelowna would be a good jaunt. Travel up the Coquihala going and return via Penticton and the Hope Princeton Hwy. Nice drive, lots of scenery & maybe a Bed & breakfast along the way at some place on the Lake. Lots of photo ops I’m sure.

Well I hear there is a great wine tasting area in Fort Langley. I will try to get the name for you tomorrow. Also, I hear Penticton etc. have great places to stay and walk along the beaches etc. If you are looking for a little piece and quiet with the smell of the ocean why don’t you cross the border and head toward Deception Pass. It is like 2hrs and so beautiful.
    Have fun!

Amanda, seriously — you gotta do better than Fort Langley!
