Nothing To Say

Last modified on July 22nd, 2008

I was going to post a big blog entry this morning, but then I realized I really have nothing to say. So, I figured I’d turn the tables a bit and see if any of my readers want to say anything. Feel free to go to town in the comments. Tell a story, do a dance, whatever you feel like! Tell everyone what’s on your mind, or what the best part of your day was so far.

If you’ve never commented before, feel free to introduce yourself to everyone.

My day is going pretty well. Well as long as I don’t think about the environment in which I work.

I’m currently working on one of my employers intranet sites I create and cleaning up code. As I go through the PHP, CSS, HTML etc I see where I could improve my coding. Mainly this particular intranet site was the original one I learned how to use PHP and MySQL with so there are bits of code that can be more efficient as I have progressed quite a a lot in my web development experience over the past 3 years or so. So the site is 3 years old back when i started learning PHP 4 🙂

I had a veggie wrap this morning from some place near John’s work. It was delicious but I missed having some form of breakfast meat.

I had a horrible sleep last night. My coworkers are driving me nuts. One of my close cousins is very upset with the death of Cpl. James Arnal (he was part of our family) and I’ve been trying to comfort her and send her news articles at her request. My wedding plans are going okay, except for all the people who think they need to have a part in everything I do. I wish they’d back off.

On a good note, I got a “this is excellent, you are very talented” comment on a logo I made. That ought to be good enough for a smile!

Today I took my nephew to the park with my sister, and spent the rest of the day at my Mom’s with the two of them. We had pizza for supper. Right now there’s a massive thunder storm going on above my house. Gotta love Ontario in the summer. Not that I’m really complaining, I love a good storm. There’s just something about them that suit my personality.

And a hello to Donna! (and everyone else, of course).

Haha. Hi Sebrina… I’m in Ontario as well (Ottawa), but we have nothing going on here. Bummer. I love them too…

Donna – Ottawa, eh? The weather has been pretty rainy recently, I went to Niagara over the weekend with my sister. It was a lot of fun, but also very rainy. Although it was welcoming after the sweltering heat, haha.

Hello. I am ready to throw my laptop out the window. Why? Because it’s a Windows laptop. It’s a work-issued piece of HP junk. Last week, it BSOD’d on me at start up. Thankfully, the IT folks at the local office here in Honduras was able to do a chckdsk on the hard drive and repair a few errors it found. Then this evening, when I tried to login after getting back to the hotel, the bloody thing proceeded to create a new profile for me! WTF??? Anyway, I managed to sort of convince it to login using the old profile after I created a guest account with admin rights. Logged in as guest and renamed the folders. Woooo! Miraculously it worked.

Anyway, that’s been my excitement for now. Five more days before I fly back to Montreal.

Hey I’ll add to this! I thought about mentioning how I recently did my first role-play of a diamond presentation in about 6 years, well first one that I’ve gotten through without crying that is…but that’s just too embarrassing maybe I’ll mention the hooker red microwave. I recently moved into a new apartment that doesn’t come with a microwave and I’ve found a red one at Target. It’s hot. But $50. Not sure if I wanted to spend that much…but it matches the hooker red teapot and coffee grinder that I have. Very tempting.
