Payment Gateways

Last modified on January 11th, 2008

Anyone know of any micropayment gateways available in Canada? I’ve been looking at paypal and Amazon’s FPS system, but both of those only support micropayments in the US. Anyone have any ideas at all?

    LOL @amber!

I thought you could setup Paypal for CDN currency….but you have to use the virtual register service that has a monthly fee plus per transaction fees…in other words, it’s pricey for micro.

    Ok!

Hahaha. I was originally going to write about how I use Paypal all the time, and have never had any issue at all using checkouts with any other online shopping, but I somehow knew that wasn’t what you meant. 🙂
    Happy Friday Duane!

Do you have a merchant account? You’d need one to use us. Otherwise, let me ask around about some other options…. like maybe Shopify… but they use us for processing and you don’t need anyone to create a shop for you….

What Rebecca said. If Rebecca / E-Xact can’t help you, you’re screwed. You might still be, depending on merchant account nonsense. This is harder than it needs to be in Canada….

They do the same type of thing as Paypal, except they’re Canadian–on the Island. They’re a little bit more expensive than Paypal, but…well, Paypal is evil and you get what you pay for!

Now that I’m re-reading I’m not totally sure that’s what you were looking for, but I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out!
