I’ve decided that I want to go snowboarding a few times this season, starting like right now. I’m definitely going to hit Seymour with Rebecca and John soon, but was wondering if any other of my crazy readers were hitting the slopes this year. If so, where do you normally go? I need people who kind of suck to go with, since I’m pretty much guaranteed to roll down most of the hills.

The good news is that I absolutely hate my powershot camera, and will happily bring it along with the hope that I will a) capture some great, funny moments of me falling and/or b) break it and have to buy a new one.
The first order of business is snow pants — I don’t have any. Maybe after work today I’ll go on a snow pant adventure.
Hey Duane! I have a Wednesday night pass to Cypress and my ski buddy just wrecked her knee this past weekend at Whistler, resulting in her needing surgery and putting her out for the season. Leaving me ski buddy-less. If you are interested in heading to Cypress some Wed night, let me know!
Sounds cool.. I’ll see how I fare this weekend.. Gotta pick up some gear and then demolish myself on the mountain. But we should definitely go for sure at least once!

I’ve been hitting all 3 local resorts this season practicing telemark skiing. Right now I like Cypress the best. Seymour is the cheapest but the lifts are kinda slow.
Hey Duane, I will be the same case as you – actually i will be worse because I just bought a snowboard only. I was a skier until a few weeks ago when my skibinding broke – and i exclaimed that is a sing for me to switch to snowboard now. I just bought it. At first i will be going to Seymour just because the hills are ‘easier’ – if you’re up for it, you sure let me know! We can roll down the hill together, by those cool-looking snowboarders doing smooth curves and all :))
Hey Duane, Dustin and I go every Monday night to Cypress, we have the one-niter pass up there. And we also try to get in at least one day on a weekend every couple weeks… we’ll have to plan a snow day together. How’s the snow-pants search going?
