Back From The Concert

It was a great show, and I’ve just started processing all the photos. You can check out the full set over on Flickr. I still have a lot more to put up, but I’m beat so I’m hitting the sack. My favourite shot so far is this one of Kathleen Higgins. Not sure why I like it, but I just do.

The Show Must Go On

Tonight is Matt’s first show out in Abbotsford, and it should be a really good time. I’m heading out to Abbotsford with my mom and my friend Tony, and we’re meeting up with Jennifer and her friend for some pre-show food. My mom hasn’t been to a concert in years, so I thought she’d like to come along. I’m hoping she’ll bring earplugs though in case the sound is a little loud for her. I’ve never heard the opening band (Mother Mother) before, but I’ve been told they are pretty good. I swung by the rehearsals the other day in Abbotsford and shot some video. Dale whipped it all together into a cool little montage, so check it out: For […]

Photo Entry #2: Orpheum

A shot I took at a concert last summer.

Me At Work

Here’s a shot that Arieanna took of me. And here was the shot I ended up taking:

Quick Update From Victoria

Arieanna and I spent this afternoon walking around the festivities. Today is basically the warm up for tomorrow, so it was rather relaxed. We spent time bouncing between beer gardens and the second stage, the latter of which had various talent performing throughout the day. Ianiv took the ferry this afternoon, and will be getting here shortly. Arieanna and I sweet-talked our way onto the fireworks barge later, so we’ll have press access for that as well. I haven’t really taken photos since the Junos, so today was a good warm up day for me. Here are a few shots I took: Also, here’s a video I took when the helicopter was taking off: [easyvideo video=”http://blip.tv/play/tyXGiE8A”]

Show's Over

I’m not going to write too much about the concert tonight since I wrote an entry over on matthewgood.org about it. But it was a lot of fun, and it was great to see Matt off on the first show of his tour. Not only was the concert really fantastic (thanks to the long set Matt put in, as well as Courtney Jones, who put on a great opening set). The crowd was really receptive, and I think Matt’s got a great two weeks ahead of him. Here are a few shots from the show: I have a few movies to from the show, but the internet connection in the hotel sucks complete ass so I’ll have to wait a […]

Sick At Home

The other day I had a nap after work, and woke up with achy joints and wicked headache. Since then, things have only gotten worse. I tried to go into work on Wednesday but had a really bad case of the chills, so bad that I was having trouble typing since my hands were shaking so much. I left work part way through the day and slept basically from around 1pm until midnight. At that point I woke up with a major fever, and think I was pretty delirious since I was having some weird argument in my head trying to convince myself to go to sleep. Today I woke up completey exhausted, still with aching joints and a headache. […]

Weddings, Photography and Matthew Good

This week is a fairly busy week for me. I am photographing a few friends to get some practice (I think Kasia is up later today), and hopefully one or two aspiring models at the end of this week. I also have to go buy a new 70-200mm f/2.8L lens sometime and get my suit dry-cleaned for a wedding I have to go to this weekend. Unfortunately, I’m dateless for this upcoming wedding, which kind of sucks considering I’ll undoubtedly be sitting at a table full of couples. Oh well. Also, on Thursday night is Matthew Good’s Vancouver concert from his “Nothing to Hide” acoustic tour. It opened last night in Victoria, and not surprisingly, was apparently pretty wicked. You […]
