Buenos Aires, Final Update

I’ll probably do a summary post on Buenos Aires the night when I leave, but this is my last weekly update from Buenos Aires. My little widget says that I’m leaving my apartment in four days, at which point I’ll be migrating to a hotel for my final night. I’ve been trying to get my landlord to commit to a time to do the final walkthrough so I can get my damage deposit, but he hasn’t responded to me. I’m not worried, since I do hold the keys and he can’t really rent it until he gets them back from me. But it would be nice to have that all in place for peace of mind. I’ll send another email in a few days and follow it up with a phone call. The apartment I’m in has worked pretty well. The only downside (and it’s a pretty big one) is […]

Vacation Entry 5 – Wedding and Pre-flight Fun

The first thing to note is that I cannot seem to find my little Canon camera, and it’s the one I took all the photos with at Rob and Anna’s wedding. I spent a lot of time catching back up with Francois and his wife Christine. Francois […]

The Journey Home

I woke up this morning feeling even worse than I did when I went to bed last night, so I bit the bullet and changed my flight — I’ll be coming home later this evening. If I’m to get any more sick, I definitely want it to be back in Canada where I can hit a clinic up and not have to worry about costs or insurance. I’m pretty sure I have health insurance down here through my work insurance, but I can’t imagine the hassle with trying to actually use it. My car is at the airport, so I should be all set when I land. It works out well since I have a lens to return to Leo’s camera in Vancouver. Since I worked Monday down here in San Francisco, I’ll be taking tomorrow off back home and simply relaxing. Hopefully I can find a way to beat […]
