Matthew Good Nominated For A Juno Award

I was over at Rebecca’s site earlier this morning and found out that they’ve announced all the nominations for the 2008 Juno Awards. Of note is Matthew Good, who’s latest album, Hospital Music, was nominated for “Best Rock Album”. In addition, the first single from the album, “Born Losers”, will be featured on the compilation CD (thanks to Rebecca for pointing that out). The Junos take place in Calgary on April 6th (the day before my 31st birthday – I’m getting old). Congrats Matt, it’s well deserved.

Hospital Music Now Available

Matthew Good’s 7th album, Hospital Music, is now available in Canada, the US and the UK. As most people who read my blog know, a few weeks ago I was down in Las Vegas hanging out near a pool with Matt Good along with a handful of his friends and fans, one of which was Vancouver blogger and now good friend, Rebecca Bollwitt. Update – Matthew Good release his first single, ‘Born Losers’, on iTunes the other day. It’s currently sitting at #11 on iTunes, and should hopefully break into the top ten sometime today. So, as recently reported by Entertainment Tonight Canada, Matthew Good’s seventh full length album, Hospital Music, is slated to be released on July 31st. This album was recorded and mixed at the Warehouse Studios in Gastown, Vancouver during the months of January to March.
